The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to spend it than visiting our nearby gem, The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden! Holiday at the Arboretum just opened on Nov. 12 and runs through Jan. 4. Want to buy some stuff? Well you're in luck, because we have several neighbors selling stuff! Our fall community garage sale is this Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entrance to the community is at 2100 Ash Grove Way. Gate opens at 8 a.m.!

Such sad news for donut fans. Not just any donuts, though. Hypnotic Donuts. The place that took donuts to creative tasty heights closed permanently today, May 20. This was shortly after the Chinese restaurant further down on the same strip, Hong Kong, closed its doors after 60 years. 😭

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of Hypnotic Donuts. After 12 years of serving the best donuts and chicken biscuits in Dallas, it is time to retire.

We are so grateful for the years of community love and support. We will miss you.

Burger Schmurger. No, it's not some apathetic response to "Honey, do you want burgers for dinner tonight?" It's actually the name of the new burger joint that just opened in the former Bar None space on Buckner Blvd. And from the looks of things, I think this is a great addition to our area. Our spring community garage sale this Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Currently, four houses are participating! We are the gated community behind the CVS at Lakeland Dr. and Ferguson Rd. The gates open at 8 a.m., and the entrance is off of Lakeland at 2100 Ash Grove Way.

If you like to ride your bike through the Forest Hills neighborhood toward White Rock Lake or cut through to get to San Rafael and Garland Rd., you might want to take an alternate route starting Feb. 17. The city will begin installing a new wastewater main, which will result in the closure of several streets.
