Working out intentionally does not need to create tension.
In my 25+ years of teaching efficient movement, I’ve noticed that we sometimes confuse intentional focus with physical tension.
Being focused doesn’t mean gripping tighter, holding your breath, or forcing the movement. True strength and efficiency come from moving with awareness, control, and ease.
The goal isn’t to create more tension—it’s to create more connection.
Move with ease. Move with intention. Move with purpose.
