BUILD STRENGTH AND MUSCLE???

Try this pyramid rep scheme to build strength AND muscle. Loaded properly, this one will give you that pump you’ve dreamed about, making you stronger, and looking better than ever. Here’s how to do it:

Start at 12 reps with 70% of your 1 rep max (you have ~2 reps left in the tank before failure). Then you’ll perform 10 reps at 74% of your 1 rep max, which would be roughly a 4-5% increase from your first set (again, leaving about 2 reps left in the tank before failure). Next up 8 reps at 78% of 1 rep max (another 4-5% increase). And then the heaviest set at 6 reps being around 83% of your 1 rep max. At this point you’ll jump up to 15 reps attempting to do the same weight you did for your first set of 12.

This rep scheme allows aggressive increases in weight for the strength gain and the a failure type finisher with an overloaded 15 reps for a serious volume pump as the finisher.

This rep scheme loaded properly will get you STRONG and looking GREAT!!! Give it a try, or if you’ve done it before but it’s been a while, reintroduce it!

When I turned 10 years old, my dad gave me the best gift he’s ever given me. He began teaching me a series of lessons that spanned over the course of my childhood and teenage years with a goal of teaching me how to be a good man, husband, father, and son of God.

The tool he used to teach me these lessons was a wooden shield that he carved by hand in our garage. I have it hanging in our current house today. This shield has various symbols carved into it such as a sword, a snake, a hand, and more. These were representative of each lesson he taught me.

This series of lessons, the shield, and all the memories I have going various places with him to learn more about what the shield meant is what inspired me to get this tattoo. It also is where the name of my business came from.

He called it: The Ethos.
