4 months postpartum โก๏ธ years later.
And I want to be clear: this โafterโ is me on a GOOD day.๐ Bloating still happens. My body still fluctuates. And when my nutrition is all over the place, I can absolutely tell the difference.
As a wife, mom of two, business owner, and a woman trying to take care of ME too, it can be overwhelming.
From my experience, there is no perfect balance. You find a rhythm that allows you to pour into the areas of your life that are a priority. And IT TAKES TIME.๐ฑ
Thatโs exactly why I create 3-12 minute workouts, encourage intentional movement, talk about giving yourself grace, and constantly remind my ladies to JUST START.
A few things that have carried me through this journey:
โข Start my day with prayer
โข No social media first thing in the morning
โข Start my morning with a warm cup of lemon water
โข 15-30 minutes of intentional movement; walking or a follow-along strength/HIIT workout
โข Prioritize water and balanced meals with lean protein, veggies, healthy carbs, healthy fats + fiber
โข Cook meals that support my goals AND feed my family
For example: If I make ground turkey, I may have ground turkey, broccoli + sweet potatoes while my husband and kids have ground turkey spaghetti + broccoli. Itโs the Same protein, different meals, and less work. ๐๐ฝ
Everyoneโs journey wonโt look the same.
Start simple, build from there, learn through trial and error, and GIVE yourself grace.
Take care of yourself while itโs an OPTION instead of waiting until it becomes a MANDATE.โค๏ธ
If you downloaded my FREE October Challenge Starter Kit and feel like you need a little more structure and a stronger push, my 7-Day Busy Womanโs Reset is a great next step. You donโt have to do everything. You just have to start with something.
And as alwaysโฆRESET, Resetters. ๐ฑ
