Had a Special Guest Watching My Swing Today ❤️

One of the best things about having a golf simulator at home is the drop in of my kids, it’s great that they can see me practicing, gives them a chance to experience golf and removes the barrier of attention as they can completely associate golf with a fun time.

High or low pitch shot ⬆️⬇️

Short game can get overwhelming as it is common to be put into a situation where you have to focus on both how to play the shot and the ball flight required to make the shot work!

Focusing on where the bottom of the club is interacting with the ground can give you some clarity. A contact in the front of the club is going to create a low shot and middle/back of the club a high shot.

The student I was with here was hitting low wedge shots that were going low like his 7 iron chip, we spend time getting the club middle of the club landing on the ground, which gave the required height, but also totally transformed his wrist conditions without having to get overly fixated on them.

Cupped at the top = Open at impact!

Looking at data collected by the majority of club golfers have an extended wrist at the top of their swing. The higher the players index, the more likely this will be the case!

An open face at the top of the swing, doesn’t guarantee an open face at impact however, due to this being a common occurrence, I would definitely be targeting the wrist at the top of the swing or trying to make the change halfway in the back swing.

there is a subtlety to the wrist so having a way to measure them is definitely the best solution, but this data would suggest if you think your wrist is cupped and you are slicing, you probably are.

Why a Maxed Bowed wrist may not work!

The wrist device has highlighted that many golfers have an extended wrist at the top of the swing, which will increase the likelihood of hitting the ball to the right/slice. There are a number of tour pros that seemed to use an extremely bowed wrist, this would be the opposite position to the one earlier described. Although theoretically, a bowed wrist is going to completely solve the right miss, it requires a lot of rotation and strength that the average golfer might not possess. Aiming to get your wrist in an optimal range is going to give more benefits than going from one extreme to the other.

Thought me and Snoopy were boys…

Coming to the end of my speed cycle using TheStack and general health. Especially when focusing on speed but tbh with all self improvement, people from the outside won’t get the process and most likely criticize, haters gonna hate so keep at it and be the best version of yourself! 💪🏼💪🏼

The Buzz Saw 😎

Extreme down hill short game shot… no problem with the Buzz Saw. Can you pull off this shot?

I’ve actually thought about this shot a lot and believe it deals with this situation really well; not sure how much you’d have to practice it before trying in a competitive round thou…
