⚠️ Safety Awareness in Plano
This story hit close to home — a woman was attacked while jogging in a Plano park. Thankfully, she’s alive and recovering, but it’s a sobering reminder that personal safety is something we can never take for granted.
A few simple habits can make a big difference when you’re out walking, running, or training alone:
• Stay alert — keep one earbud out and scan your surroundings regularly.
• Trust your instincts — if something feels off, change direction or move toward others.
• Vary your route and schedule — predictability can make someone an easier target.
• Carry a phone and tell someone your route and expected return time.
At Omega Martial Arts, we talk often about how self-defense begins with awareness. The skills we teach aren’t just physical — they’re about mindset, confidence, and preparedness in everyday life.
Please take a moment to read the article below and share this with loved ones who spend time outdoors. Let’s keep each other safe, Plano. 💙
