🍂 Welcome back to Fall Session at Rhythms of Grace! 🐴
These 12 photos capture just a glimpse of what happens here each week—and an opportunity to explain the different ways horses are part of our work.
At Rhythms of Grace, our programs include:
Occupational Therapy incorporating horse novement — Licensed occupational therapists ( Edge) use the horse’s movement and the barn environment to work toward individualized therapy goals that may include balance, core strength, coordination, sensory processing, motor planning, communication and independence.
Therapeutic/Adaptive Riding — Specially designed riding and horsemanship lessons help children and adults with disabilities and special needs develop riding skills while also building strength, balance, confidence, communication and independence.
Equine-Assisted Learning — Participants work with horses primarily from the ground through purposeful activities designed to strengthen skills such as problem-solving, communication, self-awareness, teamwork and confidence.
Mental Health Services incorporating horses — While not pictured in this post, licensed mental health professionals also partner with our horses and equine specialist in mental health to support individuals working through emotional, behavioral and relational challenges. Our horses are amazing partners for this.
The horse may look like the center of the picture—and they are certainly an extraordinary partner—but behind every session are individualized goals, trained professionals and instructors, dedicated volunteers, and a tremendous amount of preparation and care.
We are so happy to welcome our riders, participants and families back for another season of learning, growth, connection and possibility.
Here’s to a beautiful Fall Session. 🍁🐴 and on to week two!
