Hello, my soccer family.
I’m honestly at a loss for words. This has been an emotional week.
The decision I made was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. It isn’t really what I wanted, but I know it’s time for me to let go, move on, and spend more time with my family. As hard as it is, I know it’s the right time.
These years with the Dalhart Soccer League have given me memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Today, as we were cleaning up the fields, I found little things like socks, water bottles, and other items left behind. It may seem silly, but those little things brought back so many memories. They reminded me of all the practices, games, laughter, championships, and the countless kids who stepped onto those fields year after year.
One of the greatest joys has been watching these children grow—not just as soccer players, but as young people. Seeing them fall in love with the game, gain confidence, make friends, and improve every season has been a privilege I will never take for granted.
Thank you to every player, parent, coach, referee, volunteer, sponsor, and board member who has been part of this journey. You helped make the league more than just soccer—you made it a family.
I’m going to miss being out there every night. I’ll miss the chaos, the laughter, the long days, and even the challenges. But maybe next time you see me, it won’t be as the one running around making sure everything gets done.
Maybe I’ll just be there… as a fan, cheering on the next generation.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives. These memories will stay with me forever. ❤️⚽
Thank you Ashley Mariscal Garcia
