Singlespeed Smackdown 5 was a huge success! We loved the new venue and variety of trails. HUGE thanks to the 5th Ranger Training Battalion for allowing us to use their LZ and not killing us in our sleep. Thanks also to Trent at The Overhang for the beers, great food, and putting up with a VERY heated debate over the awarding of the Cog of Shame.

We'll definitely be looking at this location for Smackdown 6 next year if they'll have us back!

One change to the schedule for SSS5: We are starting at 10:00 am instead of 9AM. The Overhang won't be open until 3 so that should minimize the time the lead riders are waiting for beer and food.

Singlespeed Smackdown 5 Info!

Cost: Free! Just come out and ride.

Time: Saturday, Oct. 8. 10:00 Rider meeting and 10:05 rollout.

Location: Start and finish will be at The Overhang bar and grill at Camp Merrill. 1 Camp Merrill Dr, Dahlonega, GA 30533. Parking is available on site and restrooms are nearby.

Route: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/123899690 Highly recommend a GPS as the starting trails are not heavily ridden and don't even appear on many maps. Details on the route to follow.

Food and beverages: Post-ride beers will be available for purchase at the Overhang. Dinner will be served by the world famous Nacho's Paint and Empanadas. We ask for a $10 donation to Nacho if you want to eat. Post here or message us if you think you'll join us for some amazing camp cooking!

Camping: Camping is available Friday and Saturday at the open field behind Mt. Zion Church across from the entrance to Camp Merrill. The entrance is a few hundred feet from the main gate on Camp Wahsega Rd.

T-Shirts: We are taking orders for Singlespeed Smackdown shirts at the ride. They will be available a few weeks after the event
