Story time: A former multi-sport athlete and high school wrestler in Maine joins a small martial arts gym. He shows up, trains hard, takes coaching and walks out. No goofing around, no stopping to chat. Just straight to business. So focused, in fact, that the other fighters all joke, “that guy doesn’t care about anything - just comes in all business, beats everyone up, and leaves!”
And that’s the origin story of Coach Ray “All-Business” Wood.
For those of us who know him well, it’s hard to imagine until you step on the mat to train with him. Now he’s created a space that combines his off-mat friendly personality with the intensity and precision of his fighter side.
This story is the basis of all the reasons Dade City Jiu Jitsu isn’t your cookie-cutter corner dojo.
