A special evening as the Team celebrated the kickoff to the summer and the tournament battles ahead. We were joined by the One-and-Only Nicole Mendes who shared her extraordinary story of what solidified her as one of the most elite college, Olympic, and professional softball athletes of our time.

Nicole shared insights on the path towards achieving higher-level performance, while ensuring we are enjoying the journey, managing stress, and staying true to who you are. Thank you, Nicole. We are grateful.

Pitching isn’t just another position—it’s a craft, a mental state, and a responsibility that not everyone can handle - hence, the (8) other positions. Not everyone is built for this. It’s hard. Feels impossible at times. It demands sacrifice.

The pitcher dedicates countless hours to perfecting mechanics, building strength, and sharpening mental toughness. If she doesn’t put in the work, she pays for it—physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are no shortcuts. There is no hiding. Every pitch is on display for everyone to see, and every mistake feels magnified.

So when a young lady faces adversity, pressure, or even judgment, we have to remember the weight she carries. The courage it takes to step into the circle. The resilience it takes to battle through failure. The discipline it takes to keep showing up, even when it’s hard.

Being a pitcher isn’t just about throwing strikes or making outs, it’s about being a leader, a fighter, and someone who embraces challenges head-on. So to all the pitchers out there: Keep doing the work. Keep believing in you. Because what you do is special, and not everyone is built for it.
