GOLF COURSE AERIFICATION!
Let's talk about it!

Golf courses aerate putting greens to relieve tight, heavy soil, clear out dead grass buildup, and help air and water reach the roots. This maintenance process keeps the grass alive, stops disease, and creates a smooth, firm surface for rolling golf balls.

Main Reasons for Aeration
Fixes hard soil: Walkers and heavy mowers pack the dirt down so roots cannot grow.
Clears thatch: Dead roots and old stems pile up like a sponge and trap too much water.
Helps water drain: Open holes let extra water dry up fast instead of drowning the grass.
Feeds the roots: Air and food get deep into the ground to make the grass strong for summer heat.

How the Process Works
Machines pull small plugs of soil out of the green. Workers spread clean sand over the grass to fill the holes. The surface is brushed and rolled flat so the grass can heal.

While we know this is a brief burden to Members, it is a necessary evil to keep healthy greens!

The Club would like to extend a HUGE congratulations to the Eagar family, especially Derek on his latest victory! Derek advanced in the first round of the Drive, Chip and Putt competition yesterday at High Meadow Ranch placing 3rd out of 32 in the 10-11 year old division. WAY TO GO DEREK! You should be extremely proud of yourself!

My apologies - late post!

We had such a blast at our end of school, welcome Summer party! Thank you to all of our Members and their families for attending. Thank you Gelu Italian Ice for the delicious Italian ice to help keep cool on this hot Summer evening.

We had an amazing Member/Guest this past weekend. All the Members and their Guests thoroughly enjoyed the competition and the dinners for the event. Maui Jim was on site to give out each player their choice of sunglasses.

Brad Worley and his guest, Mark Klein, came out victorious, winning the shootout on the third hole.

Phil Kanaby might have had the best individual performance of the event with not one but two hole-in-ones on the same day, holes 6 and 14. We won’t mention what place his team came in (last), but it was quite the accomplishment.
