MBM Pitching

MBM Pitching Teacher of pitching that big yellow ball they call a softball πŸ₯Ž Hello and welcome to MBM Pitching! I believe pitching is fluid and a beautiful art form!

My name is Christina Biggerstaff, owner of MBM Pitching, which I named after my mother. Coaching Background:
The past two years I spent coaching division I at The University of Pennsylvania and before that a DI pitching coach at Charleston Southern University. In the years I coached collegiately, my pitching staff accomplish earning weekly honors, conference honors and increased strike out numbers

. I am a strong believer in ground force pitching and implement that into my pitcher's daily work outs! Athlete Background:
My collegiate career consisted of playing at Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and University of South Carolina-Upstate. In my collegiate career, I accomplished becoming 2nd team All-Region, Pitcher of the Year, have thrown 2 perfect games, 7 no hitters, ranked top 15 in DI nationally in shut outs, strike outs and ERA, 10 career pitcher of the weeks, multiple All-Conference awards, MVP, and ended my career with a 1.2 ERA and 268 strike outs. After college, I signed a contract to play professionally overseas in Amsterdam. Continued Education:
I have continued my education in the field by attending coaching conferences while sharing knowledge, asking questions and learning different techniques from other collegiate coaches around the country. Playing overseas and learning other pitching techniques has also shaped my knowledge of pitching over the years. I am now based in the Houston area focusing mainly on pitching lessons for all ages! My goal is to inspire others just as my mother inspired me. I am here to help young pitchers through the ups and downs that every pitcher faces through physical and mental drills and am equipped and ready to guide them through the recruiting process (if that is their dream to do so). I hope to see you soon!

Level up your pitching game with this 3-spot drill. πŸš€ Focus on hitting the knees, high in the zone, and that perfect chase pitch. Tag a teammate who needs to practice this!

Doing drills I ask my pitchers to do left handed so I know what it feels like learning again. I’m not gonna lie I am enjoying this way too much πŸ˜‚ not the being bad part BUT learning something new again. We are sort of starting to put it together πŸ€ͺ

The past couple of weeks I wanted to teach myself how to throw lefty so I can remember what it feels like to learn something new again just like my kids do everyday with me. I will say it was extremely humbling trying to find coordination again but by the end of the video I think we’re starting to make some progress 🀯 I definitely have a whole new appreciation of trying to help kids connect the dots πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
