Update on our MVP, Hink! 🎗❤️

Hinkston made counts! 🎉

With an astonishing ANC of 1090! Just last Friday, his ANC was 340. 🤪 This is worth a celebration 🥳

Tomorrow he begins the final 4 weeks of Delayed Intensification. This phase is designed to deliver another intensive round of chemotherapy to eliminate any remaining leukemia cells.

Please keep the prayers coming as we head into this next stretch. Hink was only delayed by one week—not too shabby for this tough kiddo!

Update on Hink:

Hinkston began the delayed intensification phase of his treatment last week. This phase is tough. His doctor’s anticipate delays and blood transfusions so they ask that we stay at the RMH again. We are currently waiting on a room, hopefully one comes available within the next couple of days.

We know this part of treatment will be challenging, but we’re taking it one day at a time, leaning on God, love, and the incredible support we have. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he pushes through this phase. 💛

Update on Hinkston🧡🧡🧡:

Hinkston was discharged from Cincinnati Children's Hospital on Thursday after a 3-day stay, marking the beginning of his next treatment phase. Due to challenges in replenishing his neutrophils, this phase started about 3 weeks behind the original schedule. Fortunately, his body has now regained its ability to produce neutrophils independently. Hinkston will be receiving an ongoing immunotherapy infusion for the next few weeks, so you will see him around with his “backpack”. The best part… his treatment happens at home (or wherever he is) and we will all be together for Christmas. 🎅🏼🤶🏻🎄🎁

Hinkston Update 🧡🧡🧡 #34

Hinkston has remained in the hospital since October 24th — today marks day 11. He’s feeling very frustrated and weak. He completed his 8-week Consolidation Phase last week but can’t begin the next phase until his blood counts rise. Unfortunately, his counts are still too low, keeping him in the hospital for now.

Our Hinky Stinky is also getting a little too skinny. He’s lost about 5–6% of his weight, and if that reaches 10%, he’ll need a feeding tube. Today, he started an appetite-enhancing medication to help make food sound good again and, hopefully, help him regain some strength.

His hemoglobin dropped below his personal threshold today, so he’s currently receiving another blood transfusion( #10).

Because his counts aren’t improving yet, the next phase of treatment has been pushed back another week, now aiming for November 17th.

Dr. Tom, Hinkston’s main oncologist, remains hopeful that once his counts start to rise, they’ll come up quickly.

Please continue to pray for strength, healing, and that his appetite — and those counts — return soon. 🧡🧡🧡

Hinkston Update:

On Day 23 of Consolidation, a treatment phase, Hinkston was admitted to the hospital through the ER with an alarmingly high temperature
🤒 😬😱.

Today, 9/26/25, he was discharged from the hospital and, after a brief rest at the Ronald McDonald House, he decided he felt good wnoufh to come home. Home home is indeed where the heart is, even if only for a night.

Hinkston remains a true superhero! His self-proclaimed superpower is annoying others, which I believe is actually meant to apply solely to me. Ha! Nonetheless, he keeps me on my toes.

To our friends and family, THANK YOU! Thank you. Your continued support has been invaluable in helping our family navigate this challenging time. I am grateful for each of you, though I fear, I may not be able to express my gratitude to everyone individually. Our family loves you and appreciates you.
