Ian Odell has been our mid-distance king all year long, running the opening leg of the STATE CHAMPION 4x800 relay yesterday and he proved it again tonight!

🏅Ian just raced to his second All-Ohio, podium finish of the weekend, placing 7th in the D3 State Championship 800m run!

Ian, you have set an incredible standard of humble leadership and we are going to miss you!!

🚨🚨SCHOOL RECORD ALERT!! 🚨🚨

🏅Mark Goode ran to an All-Ohio, 5th place podium finish in the D3 State Championship 1600m run! His time of 4:17.47 sets a new school record in this event for at least the third time this postseason!

Iron sharpens iron. Lincoln Wilson tripled this State Championship, competing alongside Mark on the STATE CHAMPION 4x800 relay, finishing 16th in the 3200 m run, and closing it out right behind his training partner with a 10th place finish in the 1600.

It might be a while before we see a better distance duo at JA- these two have set the bar INCREDIBLY high and we are going to miss their leadership and love for their team!!

And the sun is shining, so this should be it!

🏃🏃‍♀️ TRACK AND FIELD SCHEDULE UPDATE: The stadium will reopen at 8pm and we will begin competition with the seated 400 at 8:30, followed by the Division II 3200m at 8:40. After that we will begin the Division III running finals on a rolling time schedule.

Lexie Beasley is our school record holder in the Pole Vault and today she finished in 14th place at the D3 State Championship!! Congratulations on a great senior year and high school XC/TF career at JA! We’ll continue to cheer for you as you compete at UNC Pembroke!

Our boys 4x400m relay finished 11th in D3 State Semifinals. Congratulations to Grayson Adams, Ian Odell, Mark Goode, and Kaden Rapp: two incredibly talented seniors book-ended by two incredibly talented underclassmen. The future is bright!

Ella Luker closed her storied career at Jonathan Alder, narrowly missing a podium finish in the D3 State Championship 3200m run. What an incredible journey through junior high and high school at JA, with multiple All- Ohio accolades!!
