Hey guys I had to beat it to Geneva immediately upon conclusion of tear down and load outs at Eddies and my house. I had some time as I drove to process and reflect on the return of the race and the 9th running. I think this best summarizes the magic and the driving force behind the Four Leaf Clover Run…

Yesterday wasn’t about the rain, it wasn’t about the unfortunate missed turn by a few, it wasn’t even necessarily about who places 1st, 2nd or 10th. Yesterday morning was about our mission. As it always has been. I chose this picture because this is our mission personified. This is Remi. She won the “delayed family fun run”. She won the Alayna Bretsik Family Fun Run in the pouring rain. It was run an hour late due to circumstances. Alayna was her sister. Alayna lost her battle to cancer at the tender heartbreaking age of three years old. I received a message several months ago from Lyndsay, Alayna and Remi’s mom, about how excited Remi was to participate in the Alayna Bretsik Family Fun Run. More than that….she wanted to win the race. She even issued a challenge that I posted back then. She wanted to make her sister happy in heaven. She misses her sister. She wanted to make her proud. Fast forward…Remi won the Alayna Bretsik Family Fun Run in the pouring rain. She was ecstatic. I was overwhelmed by the fact that Remi won. My heart was full. Mission accomplished. I’ve cried through this whole post as I wrote this. I cried as I drove to Geneva thinking…That’s what the Four Leaf Clover Run is all about. I’ve poured my heart and soul into…Making the ripples grow wider 🍀

Race Weekend Is Here 🙌 We’re So Excited 🥳

We can hardly wait to welcome and celebrate with over 500 Difference Makers hitting the brickroads of AkRun for our local cancer community. Guys we are extremely busy at this point actually producing the event. We have limited time to answer questions and emails. 👉 Important Reminder…Packet Pickup is at the church parking lot (the start line) and not at the stadium like previous years. It starts at 3:00. We can answer questions in person there 😜 Online Registration Is Still Open and Will Remain Open All Day. We have 40/50 spots left. In 2023 over 50 people registered the last 24 hours. So a sellout may happen at any moment. I will post about a few important items as the day goes on and I find time. Get Excited…The most anticipated race return has arrived…The 9th Running of the Four Leaf Clover Run/Walk 🙌 🍀 🙌
