Well, race season is about wrapped up for a lot of us up this way—even though they’re still racing strong down south. But HL Motorsports has one more weekend circled on the calendar!

Our next and final event of the 2026 season will be the Super Shoe Nationals at Kalamazoo Speedway on September 26th and 27th.

Arik won’t be behind the wheel for this one—but the #22 will be in good hands. A familiar face, Scott Root, will take the wheel of our Gun Lake Boat Rentals & Marina and HUB International #22 machine!

Richie will also be in action behind the wheel of the #25 Root Racing Sportsman.

We’re excited to have some fun, spend time with family, enjoy the company of great friends, and close out the 2026 race season the best way we know how—at the racetrack.

September 26th and 27th will be your final chance to see the #22 in action this season, so come out to Kalamazoo Speedway and support your local race teams!

We could definitely use a set like this at the race track!!! Guess where we will be Tuesday-Wednesday? We won’t be racing but we are going to have our back side trackside and supporting Berlin Raceway for the Tekton 250.

Starting Tuesday next week you can enter to win your own set of tools from TEKTON for the Tekton 250, check the concourse and Tekton booth for the QR code to sign up and enter for your chance to win!

The winner will be selected and contacted by Tekton at the beginning of the Tekton 250 race. 🏆

A Family Tradition of Speed.

Well, Mother Nature had other plans for everyone this past weekend. Fortunately, Berlin Raceway made the call to cancel early, and by the sounds of it, they made the right decision.

As we mentioned before, HL Motorsports wasn’t scheduled to be at the track on 8/1 anyway. We spent the weekend camping with family and friends. While we may not have gotten rained on at the racetrack, we definitely got our fair share of rain while camping and tubing down the river. Sometimes those weekends away are just what you need!

Now it’s time to get back to business…
