Player spotlight: Mia Guidry!

We are focused on player and team development for the long haul (a marathon, not a sprint). Our coaching staff consists of decades of combined fastpitch coaching experience and very high game IQ.

A little about us:

SoLA Fastpitch Academy was opened in 2023 to meet a need for individual softball lessons in Lower Lafourche Parish. As interest grew, we decided to field travel teams around the talent of the girls who were receiving weekly lessons.

Our program is centered around girls in the South Lafourche area, rounded out by girls who travel as far as 40 miles to receive instruction from us. We now cater only to the girls within our SoLA HYPE program. 💜🖤💚

About your instructor:

SoLA Fastpitch Academy was founded by Allie Melancon. Allie was a decorated All-State player who played fastpitch softball for 10 years and competed on a slew of elite teams in her prime. After she had children, she moved on to coaching and has been doing so for the last 15 years. Coach Allie and her staff coach through a method that involves drills, repetition, live-simulation, and confidence-building in every skill.
