Race recap 🏁

Wyatt looked awesome on his electric bike in the Electric class today! He almost got the holeshot (I know, almost doesn’t count 😂), but seeing him that close shows the progress he’s making! He stayed in the top 3 and finished Moto 1 in 3rd. Moto 2 didn’t start quite how we wanted—he went down right off the start—but he fought his way back up to 4th and finished 4th overall! 🔥

The 50 Open class on his electric bike was great in Moto 1. He looked like he wanted it! He did go down and lost some speed, but still put in a solid ride. Moto 2 was decent, although we definitely could’ve used a little more of that Moto 1 effort. 😂

The 50 7-9 class on his Cobra is definitely his most competitive class, and he looked good and pushed himself hard! Unfortunately, he found the dirt in both motos. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

So… out of 6 motos, he fell down/wrecked in 5 of them. That just means he’s going faster and pushing himself, right?! 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Either way, he brought home a trophy and we couldn’t be more proud of our boy! ❤️🏁

Keep pushing, Wyatt! We’re loving watching you grow and get faster every weekend! 💪🏼

🏁 RACE RECAP 🏁

Great day for Coggins Motorsports at NGQMA! 🤩

It was a double header with single-car qualifying, and Wyatt laid down the 2nd fastest lap, putting him in P2 for Race 1. He maintained his speed, ran a great race, and brought home a 2nd-place finish! 🏆

Since he had the 2nd fastest qualifying time, he started P1 for Race 2. He held a great line, stayed smooth, and never looked back… CHECKERED FLAG! 🏁🏆

We are absolutely over the moon! There is nothing better than watching all of Wyatt’s hard work and determination pay off.

This was the final race of the points series (rookies don’t race for points), and it’s pretty cool that we started the season with a win and got to finish it with a win too! 💙

A huge thank you to Dad and Pop Pop for always putting in the time to work on the car and finding those little adjustments that make a big difference.

And a huge thank you to Zach Edwards, Jon Ellis, and everyone else who has helped us throughout the season and shared their knowledge and expertise with us. We truly appreciate every bit of advice, every helping hand, and all the support you’ve given our family. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Next up: The Cotton Classic! We can’t wait!

🏁 Race Recap 🏁

Wyatt started the heat race in P4 and made a good move right off the start. He worked his way up to P2, but got caught up in a little wreck. Thankfully it wasn’t anything major, but it knocked him back to P3, which is where he finished.

That gave him a P3 starting spot for the feature. He got into 2nd early and stayed there the rest of the race for another 2nd place finish! 🏆

We couldn’t quite catch the leader, but hopefully we can make a few adjustments to the car and see if we can close that gap next time. Hoping we can find a little more speed and make a run for that top spot.

As always, super proud of Wyatt. He’s getting more comfortable every week, and it’s been fun watching his confidence grow.

We’ll see y’all back at NGQMA in two weeks for another double header! 🏁
