Great Allegany Run

Great Allegany Run 15K and 5K benefitting Allegany County Habitat for Humanity. Both races are followed by an awesome after party with food, music and prizes!

Come out for the 40th running of the Great Allegany Run! It's a great tradition! The 15K is a fast downhill course that ends in Downtown Cumberland. The 5k is an out and back from Downtown Cumberland. There is something for everyone! This year, the GAR benefits Allegany County Habitat for Humanity, a great organization that provides safe, affordable housing to local families. Be part of a tradition and support a great cause!

Registration is now open for the Great Allegany Run on Saturday, October 3, 2026! Join us for the 15K or the 5K event. This race has been a tradition in Western Maryland for 44 years! We hope to see you there!
