Twin Brook Recreation Area

Twin Brook Recreation Area The Twin Brook Recreation Facility is a four season park that has grown in use and amenities over the years and now covers over 250 acres.

There are over 22 acres of mixed athletic fields, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, restroom facilities and more than 4 miles of wooded walking trails. In the winter months, many trails are groomed for cross country skiing. Twin Brook is in use from sun up to sun down by people doing anything from walking their dogs, riding bikes and running the trails to flying kites, playing soccer a

nd eating their lunch. Twin Brook is now home to a 9 hole Disc Golf Course. Please see Recreation website for more details www.cumberlandmaine.com
Twin Brook hosts multiple local and regional events and
activities. During the spring & fall numerous lacrosse, cross country running events are held at the facility. Twin Brook was home to the New England High School Cross Country Championships for Boys and Girls in the Fall of 2012 and the High School State Cross Country Championships in the Fall of 2015
Of course, it would not be fall without the annual Labor Day Soccer tournament bringing over 3000 people to watch and play soccer over the course of the weekend

A Wrap on Grooming for Winter 2025 (Mon, March 3)

With heavy rain anticipated Wednesday, coupled with the transition to spring activities, we will no longer be grooming at Twin Brook going forward
DOGS ARE NOW PERMITTED on the Tuttle Rd. side of Twin Brook as of today, March 3rd.
As a reminder, please pick up dog waste and follow posted rules

Our Parks Crew groomed the cross-country ski trails at Twin Brook today! A few reminders about recreating at the facility during the winter months.

➡️The Tuttle Road side of the facility is groomed for cross-country skiing.
➡️ The grooming of the trails dictates if dogs are allowed. Dogs are NOT allowed on the Tuttle Road side of the facility during the trail grooming season. Watch for signage and updates on our social media as weather conditions change!
➡️Walking and snowshoeing is still welcome on the Tuttle Road side of the park. We simply ask that you please stay off the groomed ski trails!
➡️Our Parks team also grooms the Greely Road side for walking, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, dog walking, etc.

Grooming at Twin Brook

In anticipation of this weekend's storm, the Parks Crew is planning to begin grooming Twin Brook's cross country ski trails on Monday morning, January 31st.

Dogs are not allowed on the Tuttle Road side of the Twin Brook facility during the trail grooming season. Walking and snow shoeing is still welcome but dogs will only be allowed on the Greely Rd side of Twin Brook. Thank you for your cooperation!

(Twin Brook Grooming Update: Monday, Dec 21st)
Parks Superintendent Ted Bosarge will be re-grooming existing trails today and additionally will be adding new ones in the woods trails. Trails will also be groomed on the Greely Rd side of the park for walkers and dogs.
As a reminder, dogs are not permitted on the Tuttle Rd. side of the park during ski season. We also ask that walkers stay off the groomed trails in the Tuttle Rd side.
