The SKATESIDE THE SKATESIDE provides skateboard lessons to ages 5+. Located in the Los Angeles/Culver City area, we are fun, safe, and offer quality skate instruction.

Servicing the Los Angeles area, THE SKATESIDE provides students with a safe place to practice and improve skills, we put 110% in giving our students a solid foundation of skateboarding skill and knowledge. THE SKATESIDE does not just give students skateboarding instruction, we give students the complete skatebarder experience, providing photo shoots and videos, documenting all their fun and progress.

🛹💙 OUR 1-DAY SKATE CAMP AT THE COVE WAS A TOTAL BLAST!

What a day at The Cove Skate Park in Santa Monica! ☀️🛹

Our skaters spent the day learning new skills, challenging themselves, making friends, and—most importantly—having FUN.

One of our favorite things to see was how much confidence our NEW skaters built in just one day. 💪 Some arrived feeling nervous or unsure, and by the end of camp they were pushing, riding, trying new skills, and feeling proud of what they accomplished.

That’s what THE SKATESIDE is all about. 💙

Skateboarding isn’t just about learning tricks. It’s about helping kids become more confident, resilient, independent, and willing to keep trying—even when something feels difficult at first.

Whether your child has NEVER stepped on a skateboard before or already skates and wants to keep progressing, our camps are designed to meet kids where they are and help them move forward at their own pace.

And yes… they’ll probably come home tired. 😆🛹

Today we’re celebrating an incredible coach who has been making a difference at THE SKATESIDE for years!

Coach Nick has played a huge role in introducing so many kids to the world of skateboarding. From helping nervous first-time skaters step onto a board to cheering students on as they land new skills, he’s been there with patience, encouragement, and a smile every step of the way.

One of Coach Nick’s greatest strengths is helping kids overcome their fears. Whether it’s learning to balance, rolling down their first ramp, or simply believing in themselves, he’s helped countless students gain confidence both on and off the skateboard. Those moments of courage often turn into a lifelong love for skating, and we’re grateful that Coach Nick has been a part of so many of those journeys.

Thank you for your dedication, positive attitude, and the care you put into every lesson. Your passion for teaching and your ability to connect with students make you an invaluable part of THE SKATESIDE family and our mission of MORE KIDS SKATING.

Whether your child is stepping on a skateboard for the very first time or already loves to ride, our camps are designed to build skills, confidence, friendships, and character in a fun, encouraging environment.

Our Full Day campers continue skating after lunch with additional practice, games, skill development, and personalized coaching to help reinforce everything they learned during the morning session.
