Cross Country will have team conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 730-9am in June and July (excluding the 4th of July) beginning June 13th. We will do timing checkpoints and team/individual drills during those conditioning days. Runners should be conditioning on their own the other days. Time goals for Aug 7th, first day of fall practice, boys under 20:00 mins and girls under 24:00 mins. Each Tuesday I will highlight that week's goals for each individual runner. If you did not show up today for the first day of summer conditioning you need to contact me Thursday. Thank you!! Coach K.

Both teams had an OUTSTANDING race at the Jesse Owens Classic today!! I uploaded all individual and team stats for your viewing pleasure. Hey parents. I just wanted to send some info out on nutrition. The night before a race I make one of two meals... Spaghetti or a good pot roast. Something with good carbs and protein are wonderful for the runners the night before a race.

Also make sure your runner is hydrating with water and or gatorade. Runners should eat within the hour after a race or a run. Running takes a lot out of you, so refuel and rehydrate. Food is medicine and medicine is food.

Seriously... 100 miles a week is what it takes to be a top notch cross country runner. 10-15 miles a day and 15 milew on Sundays if you want scholarship!!! How bad do you want it? Heath White, Jerry Mitchell, Paul Williams anymore advice for these high school runners? What does yalls xc practice week look like?
