So proud of these girls — PGF Champs! đŸ†đŸ„Ž

B pitched the complete semifinal and was lights out hitting her spots (not to mention was throwing gas all day, hitting 55 consistently). Then came in during the 2nd inning of the championship for relief with bases loaded and no outs
and got out of it with no damage done đŸ’Ș She even took a line drive straight to her knee in the last inning and still got back on the mound to finish the game for the win. Coach picked her to get to take home the tournament plaque at the end of the day for her efforts.

From last season to this one, her mental toughness on the mound has grown so much. Proud of my girl today & every day ❀

These kiddos keep impressing us by holding their own playing up in 14U. Proud of my girl - she had an overall great day with team high BA / OBP & didn’t allow a single hit all day. She was on track to throw a no-hitter in the Semis but they had to take her out in the last inning to save her for the Championship. đŸ„Č >me

Havent posted here in a while
We clocked this pitcher throwing 60 mph during our game. Biebs smoked it. Wait until the end to watch her throw up the 6-7 sign on third base when she’s done running 😂😂 She was excited that her batting average was .667 before this game started. (Hated to break it to her that any new hits or outs would change it tho haha)

Yesterday was B’s first tournament with her new team—and let me just say, it was different.

But in the best kind of way.

Their tournament record wasn’t anything to write home about (2-1), but that’s not what stood out. What mattered most was how the day went.

B didn’t have any mistakes in the field all day, but when it came time to pitch her first game with this new team—new coaches, new players, new expectations—she was nervous as all get out. Understandably so.

She walked two in the first inning, and I could see it all over her—she was bracing for the disappointment. Waiting for the smirk, the silence, the mound visit, the shake of the head. But it never came.

Instead, she worked through it. Got out of the inning.

And then? One of the coaches pulled her aside—not to criticize, but to build her up. Quietly; one-to-one. Blakely told me she essentially said, “We know you’re nervous. You’re doing great. We believe in you.” Along with some other constructive feedback.

She settled in a little after that. Went on to finish strong. Got the win. Only allowed 1 hit in the game / 1 earned run. Earned a few strikeouts. Final score: 11–2.

After the last game, during the team meeting, there was no yelling. No punishment, no threats. Just encouragement and constructive feedback. A focus on what’s next. Accountability without shame.

And get this—every Wednesday, the team leads a Bible study during practice.

She’s having fun again. She’s being built up again. She’s being seen for who she is and what she’s capable of.

She’s being shown Christ through her coaches and teammates.

And I’m here for every bit of it.

**This post isn’t meant to criticize our previous organization in any way—it’s simply an update for those who care about how Blakely is doing. Our decision to move her to a new team was made thoughtfully and with her best interest at heart—and we’re incredibly grateful for the growth, joy, and encouragement she’s experienced since the change. We will forever be thankful for the time we spent with our last org. It made her who she is today, & built her solid foundation and facilitated her love of softball.
