Yesterday we made a trip up to Kerrville and Hunt to assist with whatever they needed and to deliver some supplies (water, gatorade, first aid kits, hand held/headband flashlights, snacks, high vis spray paint, and mosquito repellent.) The pictures do not fully capture the sorrow and destruction of the area. Many in the area have had the flood take loved ones, damage or fully destroy their homes/belongings, and businesses and yet they have worked tirelessly in search and rescue/recovery efforts as well as clean up. They have not had time to mourn and they still have to face the grim reality once things settle on what to do next without their loved ones, vehicles, homes, etc. The Hunt Baptist church is at max capacity for supplies but the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department is accepting donations that will be used for helping the victims of the community.
