DeWitt County 4-H is looking for an adult that would want to take over the 4-H r***e program for DeWitt County. We no longer have a r***e coach and we have a group of 4-H members that are still interested in participating. To become a r***e coach, you will first register as a 4-H Volunteer on the same website/family profile you had registered your child on and then after your background check and training are completed, you can register for a coaches training. It does take a 2 day weekend to complete the coaches registration/training process. Each district across the state hosts a coaches training, so travel is required. There are 3 or 4 coming up in the next month or two. After you would become a certified coach, you would lead practices for the r***e group. We do have another certified coach that will help, but is unable to run the program full time, so you would not be doing it by yourself. Please contact me if you have any questions, or if you may be interested. I really want to try to keep our r***e project active in DeWitt County 4-H!
