Hoped to make our season debut tonight at Crystal but with motor issues last night we will have to wait a bit longer. It’s all hands on deck getting our Apex Competiton Engines power plant into the Spencer Racing 36X. Thanks to Jeremy Spencer and Elora Spencer for the hot rod.

Will be racing Tri City Motor Speedway tonight and Crystal Motor Speedway tomorrow in the Lebaron Racing #57 Pro Stock. Got the Apex Competition powered T&D Chassis ready for the weekend. Pry break out the new to us Harris stock car next weekend.

As we prepare for the 2022 season I just wanted to give an update on our plans. I will once again be driving for Lebaron Racing. This year we will be competing in Pro Stock with our Apex Competition Engines powered T & D Custom Fab chassis and in Street Stock with our new to us Terminator Chassis. Thank you Jacob Lebaron and family for continuing to give me this opportunity. Not sure on our schedule yet but it will involve more travel than we have done so far as a team.

Picked up feature win #3 in the ol Harris Chassis this weekend at Crystal Motor Speedway! Started 11th and was able to park it for the big check. Thanks to everyone involved in the Alex Richards Memorial Race, was nice to win this one. Was a good dude gone to soon. Thanks Jake, Brian, Megan, and Dad for all you guys do. Thanks to our awesome sponsors for keeping us going all year.

Had an awesome weekend racing the ol Harris Chassis w my sister and brother in town from California. Friday night we went to Mt Pleasant and swept the heat and feature after starting both in 3rd! 🧹 Saturday we went to Crystal Motor Speedway and started 7th in our heat and finished 2nd, started 10th in the feature and finished 2nd! It was awesome to have some luck go our way this season w them in town. Thank you Jacob LeBaron for all you do for me, letting me drive this hot rod. Thanks to my dad for all your hard work, no way I make it to the track without you let alone have a chance to win. Thanks to my wife and mom for all the support. It was Derricks first feature win photo and couldn’t be more grateful to every fan, sponsor, and team member who helps us make these moments happen. Best part was Bryson Lebaron also swept the night Friday at Mt. Pleasant Speedway. LeBaron Racing had 4 1st and 2 2nds this weekend!

Got our first feature win last night in the Lebaron Racing Street Stock at Crystal Motor Speedway! Can’t thank Jake and his family, my family, our sponsors, and all our great supporters enough for everything they do. We will be back at Crystal tonight trying to sweep the weekend after sweeping the night last night!

Raced Merritt Speedway Saturday night since Crystal cancelled with the Lebaron Racing #57 Street Stock. Was our first real laps on our new to us terminator and it went pretty well. Car handled very well, couldn’t be happier in that regard. Won’t run the Crystal claimer next time we go up that’s for sure. Pry coulda used more gear as well. All in all a good night, got some notes in the book for the car and came home in one piece. Those boys were cooking gonna have to bring your A-game to win there this year. Thanks to Jake and his family for all they do. Our racing season will really start this weekend and I have a good feeling about the direction we are heading.

We are loaded up and heading to Tri City Motor Speedway w our Lebaron Racing #57 tomorrow night, still undecided for Saturday. Look forward to getting back to our old stopping grounds for the night. Car is scaled and ready to rock. We are back with Lebaron Racing and I will be driving their street stock. We also made the decision to return to the tried and true #57! Thanks to Jacob Lebaron and his family for once again giving me the chance to drive for them this season!

This past weekend we drove the Mike Vandermark Jr Racing #26 Street Stock at Winston Speedway. We finished 2nd in the heat after a driver error, finished 3rd in the Friday Night Special after missing the set up. We started the Feature in 3rd and the car had a miss right off the bat, we pulled in to see if it was something we could fix quick under caution and it was not, restarted the race 20th and drove up to 4th with the car still missing really bad. It was a ton of fun and I can’t thank Mike VanderMark Jr. and Kylee VanderMark enough for letting me drive their car. Also thanks to Jacob LeBaron for letting us use one of his motors for this race. Thanks to Gary and Mikes whole team for wrenching on the car all weekend. It was a really fun weekend even with all the stuff that didn’t go our way. Winston Speedways staff was awesome and took good care of us at the pay window which is always nice. See everyone in the Lebaron Racing #57 in a couple weeks at Crystal Motor Speedway - Crystal, MI!
