We know everyone needs a little bit—or maybe a whole lotta—time to process the news that shook so many of us yesterday.
But if there was ever a life meant to be celebrated, it was Dolly’s. ❤️
On Saturday, September 12, from 6–9 PM, we’re opening our doors for A Little Bit Country, A Whole Lotta Dolly—an evening for Crystal Springs to come together and celebrate the music, humor, generosity, accomplishments and unforgettable life of Dolly Parton.
And we want your Dolly stories to be part of it.
Did you meet her? See her perform? Grow up listening to her with your mama or grandmother? Do you have a photograph, concert picture, ticket stub or a memory that still makes you smile? Bring it. Share it. We want to celebrate all of it.
There will be Dolly karaoke, trivia, costumes, prizes, special treats and plenty of opportunities to simply sit around and tell stories.
But we also want this night to do a little good.
The Mosh Pit Creamery & Cafe will donate 10% of all sales from the evening to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
The Imagination Library has been an important part of our own children’s lives, as it has been for millions of children around the world. What began as Dolly’s dream of giving children books has grown into an international book-gifting program that has put hundreds of millions of free books into the hands of young children and serves 5 different countries and has distributed more than 330 MILLION FREE books to children! INCREDIBLE!!!
That feels like a pretty wonderful legacy to help carry forward.
So dust off the rhinestones. Tease up the hair. Bring your photographs, your stories and your favorite Dolly memories.
Come sing with us, laugh with us, eat some ice cream and help us celebrate a woman who gave the world a whole lot more than great music.
