Sticks & Stones Hockey League The SSHL is a developmental hockey league for adults who are newer to hockey, getting back in to it, and just want a fun/safe league.

We offer 3 Levels of play based on skill and an Instructional Class. We play at the Crystal Ice House in Crystal Lake, IL

Scott Skinger (Director of the SSHL) and Justin Baugher (Commissioner of Gold Line Hockey) will be running the new men’s league at the Crystal Ice House, replacing Midwest Hockey for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2026-27 season. Our goal over the next year will be to transform and rebuild the Adult Hockey Program at CIH to ensure that anyone interested in playing hockey in the area has a fun, safe, competitive league to play in…from beginners to life long players.
