Crystal Lake Basketball Parents,
We wanted to reach out to respond to the large number of emails and texts we have received today about the Crystal Lake Basketball Feeder Program. We are aware that many of you on the South side of town received an email today regarding the Junior Gators running feeder teams this season.
To eliminate any confusion…
From the day we opened our doors, our mission has been to create opportunities for local basketball players, foster a love of basketball in our community, and support the local high school programs. That is why we agreed to take on the Feeder program last year, and why we will continue to work closely with the local high schools.
We are here to support the high school programs, not compete with or make things difficult for them. To that end, we are currently NOT planning on running Crystal Lake South Feeder Teams this year. Based on the feedback from the large number of you who reached out today, we are not closing the door on including South Feeder kids in our program if the need is there, but we would suggest that the 40+ families who have signed up already for our South Feeder tryouts first check out what the Junior Gators are offering. We will always be here for players who need a place to play basketball!
We WILL still be running the 5th-8th grade programs for Crystal Lake Central and Prairie Ridge as long as the interest is there (and judging by the signup list for tryouts, it is!).
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are looking forward to the CLC and PR Feeder tryouts in a couple of weeks. If you have not already registered, please do so at https://bbww.typeform.com/to/nvHeUORU
Best Swishes,
