“Anti” movements are usually referred to when an exercise or activity places a spinal demand (flexion, extension, side bending, or rotation) which requires a core response to maintain a good posture.

Just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s easy.

There is so much to comb through when trying to figure out how to best exercise, eat, and recover. My approach is to always keep it simple. Success is not in the what, but in the how long.
-
The rules for keeping it simple (they aren’t easy);
1. Consistency is key (think years not weeks, 3-4x/week for life)
2. You have to Move (lift weights 3x/week, move 7 days a week, sprinkle in some cardio based on your goals and needs)
3. You need sleep (all other recovery methods are inferior and a waste of time if you don’t prioritize 7-8 hours everyday)
4. You need to eat good foods (1g of protein per pound body weight, carbs and fats as needed to reach your performance goals)

“Self care is not a luxury. It is a necessity.”

I get it…the task list never ends. Once you finish one item, 10 more fill its space. It can feel like a never ending cycle of dread and accomplishment.
-
I still struggle with this, but when I schedule my self care (exercise), 15 items either resolve themself or I magically produce more energy to get everything done.
When I don’t self care…the list gets bigger.

We have regularly scheduled “self care sessions” everyday at 5:30am, 6:30am, 9:00am, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm. If you want to schedule yourself some energy enhancing self care, hit the link in bio.
