The perfect brainstorming tool, the Post-it note, was designed (by accident) in 1968 📝

Chemist and researcher Dr. Spencer Silver was trying to achieve a formula for a stronger adhesive for the aerospace industry - but failed. From this failure, he created a weaker adhesive that could easily be removed from a surface without leaving any residue.

A colleague of his was trying to find a solution for bookmarking and remembered about the weak adhesive and it worked perfectly - thus, the Post-it note was born.

Over time, it has become one of the most popular office products worldwide, being reissued in different sizes, shapes and colours.
