I absolutely love seeing posts from the younger teams about being part of the “Wardog Family”.
Brien started this organization as a single age group. His focus was building baseball knowledge and growing the love for the sport. During the first year, he created a team with a lot of boys who didn’t know each other too well. He knew that if they learned to trust each other, the team would be more productive. Therefore, the first tournament together was an overnighter. The players AND parents were “forced” to get to know each other. The bonds grew from there. So many activities were planned throughout the seasons to further strengthen these bonds. Trips to watch Purdue play, week tournaments in Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach, we ate together after games, had bonfires at the house, etc. Don’t get me wrong, we played a lot of ball, but we all knew that if we JUST played ball, it all wouldn’t have been as fun. When I think of these families, I know we all still have each other’s back. We may not spend the summers together anymore, but I know we would do anything for each other if the phone ever were to ring. Great years to treasure forever…
So for the younger teams following in these footsteps, I truly love seeing your Wardog Family posts!!! Let the tradition continue…♥️💙♥️💙
Here are some pics I am reposting. A blast from the past…. Notice, all pics have nothing to do with a baseball game☺️
