Otter Point Farm Otter Point Farm is a privately owned farm in Crossville, TN. Negative Coggins (within the last year) must be provided for each horse entering the property.

Our facilities include an 80' x 180' covered arena, 75' round pen, 30 amp trailer hook-ups and indoor/outdoor equine accommodations.

The May clinic is currently full but I keep a waitlist and we frequently are able to accommodate those who join the waitlist early! Auditors are also welcome for $20/day. Bring your lunch, a chair and a notebook!

We will be hosting Barb Gerbitz twice in 2021 on May 1-2 and October 9-10. Rider spots are limited to allow for more individual attention. Spots are already filling for the spring clinic so sign up soon! Rider spots are $300 each and a deposit for the full amount is required to reserve a spot. Clinic hours are 9am-4pm each day with an hour break for lunch. Boarding options are available as are LQ hookups (30 amp) and camping options. The barn has a climate-controlled partial kitchen and full bath.

Barb also offers Stay & Study opportunities at our farm. This is the ONLY venue outside of Barb’s own farm in Illinois where this is offered! Stay & Study provides an opportunity to work with Barb in a semi-private setting for full (5-6hrs) or half days (~3hrs). Riders who choose to sign up for full day sessions are welcome to bring 2 horses. Riders can sign up for a half day up to 3 full days at this venue. Half day = $100/rider. Full day = $200/rider.

Barb is available to clinic riders for private lessons on the days before or after the clinic or on clinic days around 4pm. Private lessons are $50/hr. Semi-private lessons are $45/hr/rider.

This year has proven to be a season Full of exciting and interesting challenges, which has really exposed people's resilience, courage and love for each other.

So very true!! If we struggle with a particular horse, it is on us to rise to that horse's occasion. Perhaps other horses have made us feel more accomplished than we actually are because those horses were so adept at filling in for us. Now a horse comes along who challenges your view of yourself.......what do you do? Do you take that hard look in the mirror and work on yourself and what you're offering that horse? Or do you condemn that horse as "difficult" or misbehaving, etc. and set it aside or get rid of it? Those horses are an equestrian's most valuable teacher because they will accept nothing less than a better version of you! Seek help from a qualified professional and get the training and information you need to be a better rider. That horse will thank you for it!
