I am SO VERY proud of my youngest son, Travis! He "Brings the Grind" 5-6 days a week. His journey has been much more than weight loss and getting in the best shape of his life, as he attests to.
No, I didn't train him. Ummm, why would most dudes want their mom to train them? LOL! Actually, my cardio workouts are similar to his as well as my muscle workouts, but are a bit lighter load. Like, look at his massive arms! I'll get there.
He grew up going to the gym with me. First, playing in the daycare room until I finished my workouts. Then, team sports like soccer and basketball, tumbling and JuJitsu. He was my helper in my various fitness venue classes starting at age 5 when school was on recess. Many of you remember him and his fun personality. Once, while waiting in line for food, someone asked him why such a young person was at my SilverSneakers Fitness Instructor celebration. His answer "my mom is Miss SilverSneakers! He is now a grown man with a great job that he has worked very hard for and the father of 2 daughters, my precious granddaughters. Yes, they are active! Being active and fit is something we are definitely passing on.
