Trout Pond in the George Washington National Forest in Wardensville, WV is a jewel of a lake that never disappoints! It offers a lovely white sand beach for sunbathing and swimming and an only slightly challenging walking trail that gives you a perfect one mile hike before, or after your paddle. There are many trails if you want more elevation and challenging terrain. The drive up to Trout Pond is magnificent anytime of year, however the spring and fall are exceptional. If you are an angler, you have found the perfect location. Have you ever seen a Golden Trout? Bring the family, camp, picnic, play, swim and paddle, what could be better on a lovely day!!!
