Crosby Sports Association is sad to hear about the recent passing of CSA umpire and Head Coach of the 16u Bombers Gold-Melton softball team Joey Melton. Coach Melton has mentored many current Crosby High School softball players through his Bombers team over the years and could also be found supporting them at other CISD sporting events when they were off the softball field. His knowledge and passion for the game of softball is among the best and he will definitely be missed around the CSA ball fields. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Melton family and the Bombers-Melton softball family.

⚾️ Uniforms will be available for pick up tomorrow from 12-3pm in the upstairs area between the back ballfields. Coaches will be the only person allowed to pick up uniforms.

Starting today 9/21/21 we will be testing a few cashless options for our concession stand for the remainder of the fall season. For anyone that does not want to pay cash you will have the option of paying by Paypal, CashApp, or Venmo ($4 minimum for cashless payments). We are also currently working on getting a card reader for concession, but do not expect that to be ready before the fall season is over. For the cashless app options here is how the transaction will work:

* The person paying will need their smartphone, and an account for PayPal, CashApp, or Venmo.
* The concession staff will give the buyer their total ($4 minimum)
* The buyer will scan the QR Code for the app of their choice, enter the amount to be paid(for Paypal select the "Friends and family" option), and complete the transaction.
* Show your transaction confirmation to the concession staff.

Registration for the 2021 CSA Fall Baseball/Softball Season is reopened with only a limited number of spots in each division.. These spots will only be available until filled or tomorrow night at 11pm. After the spots are filled or registration closes 8/16/21 at 11pm, whichever happens first, there will be no more registrations. You can find the full registration info at crosbysports.com .

For players that have already registered your commissioners are currently working on getting coaches and rostering teams. If you are interested in coaching and did not sign up please log into your account and complete the volunteer application. If you would like to know if your division needs coaches please reach out to your division commissioner.

* Registration will be $60 and will include Shirt and Cap/Visor.
* Registration will be open from 7/5 until 11 pm on 8/14/21
* Teams will be formed by the division commissioners next week.
* Practices are scheduled to start on 8/23/21 and games around 9/27/21. Practices and games will be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Fridays will only be used if needed for weather rescheduled games or practices.
* The age divisions for the fall season are based on where the players will play next spring since the new league year starts 9/1/21.
