Question: Are e-bikes allowed?

We do not offer a separate e-bike category. Pedal-assist-only MTB e-bikes are allowed and will be timed. Because there is no dedicated e-bike category, riders using e-bikes are not eligible for prizes or winner placements. If you plan to ride an e-bike, use an MTB e-bike only; this multi-surface race includes challenging terrain that commuters or standard pedal-assist e-bikes that will not be able to handle.

What are considered pedal assist e-bikes?
Class 1 E-Bikes: Provide motor assistance only while you pedal, and the power cuts out once you reach 20 mph.
Class 3 E-Bikes: Provide pedal-assist up to 28 mph, also with no throttle.
Legal Access: Because they lack a throttle, these bikes face fewer restrictions and are generally allowed on standard multi-use bike paths and trails where motorized throttles are banned.

Yes, absolutely you can use Ride with GPS and Garmin together. You can link your accounts to wirelessly send planned routes from Ride with GPS to your Garmin bike computer or watch, and automatically sync your completed rides back to your Ride with GPS profile.

When should I link the two platforms?
Sooner than later. Then you will be ready to go on race day!
