If you’ve ever dreamed about participating in a triathlon, but don’t want or can’t do the whole thing — Crofton’s Dam Race on July 25 is the answer.

The three-sport event combines kayaking, running and bicycling and kicks off at Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area and ends on Main Street in Crofton, where an after-party and “the best dam bloody Mary” awaits competitors and visitors.

You’ll catch her at the water station at CJs where her family hosts the wildest station every year … remember the Dolly year? Holly manages the 12 families that host stations along the route and the water station competition.

MEET LESLIE!

Leslie is a superintendent at Lewis & Clark State Rec Area and on our race committee. On race day, you'll most likely find her hauling kayaks on the beach. Don't be fooled by that sweet smile, she's serious about making our race a huge success and taking care of her state park crew.

We're officially renaming Crofton BIKE TOWN, USA this summer! Our little town of 800 is the host site to three (yes, 3!) big time biking events starting with BRAN June 10-11, Tour de Nebraska June 26-28 and our own Crofton's Dam Race on July 25. Grab your helmet and ride along!
