Houston County Lake neighbors — quick heads-up from Frontier Camp.

We’re installing a new Emergency Public Address System (EPAS) so we can communicate quickly across camp during emergencies (severe weather, missing camper, fire response, etc.). This is part of updated Texas youth camp safety requirements, and our goal is to make camp operations safer and more organized.

What you may notice:

A few short test announcements on outdoor horn speakers as we install and commission the system.

We’ll keep testing brief and do our best to do it at reasonable hours.

Looking ahead:
As we implement future phases, we may be able to add warning sirens that could also benefit our surrounding neighbors around the lake by providing an additional audible alert during severe weather or other urgent situations.
