Crocker youth basketball league has accomplished its mission for the first session of basketball. This session included 3rd-6th grade teams.
To provide the opportunity to all desiring children in the Community to play, focusing on preparing players to successfully play School basketball, in addition to learn community values and support our community.
This was not accomplished without community faculty resourcing. We would like to thank Crocker School, Swedberg School, Crocker, Assembly of God, Crocker Christian Church and Richland City Gym for the use of their facilities.
Crocker Youth Basketball League (CYBL) thanks our community sponsors: Crocker VFW, Newcombs Hardware, Goodrich Gas, Heenan Construction, Insulation Solution and Scruggs Car Wash.
The league was able to accept/register kids from Waynesville and St. Robert this year. Also, obtained a few sponsors from their community. Thank you, Saint Robert Glass, Morse Ford Power Sports, Spur Cleaners and Post Pawn for all your contributions.
We were able to assist any and all kids that wanted to play and purchase equipment needed to train these kids. Along with paying for referees, time keepers and janitors to host games in Crocker.
Special thank you to Shirley Schuld for operating our concession's this season. Very professional and sincere care for the kids of our community.
Thank you to Blue Fish Printing for the designing and printing the players jerseys.
Due to the funds made from concessions the players were able to learn the value of supporting the community by delivering thanksgiving baskets to some families and Crocker’s Senior Citizens Center.
Of course, the volunteer coaches were key in developing these kids/players. We hope for the winter session to be just as successful or better.
We invite all to come out and enjoy the 2nd grade girls play in Crocker School Gym this winter.
Session starts 3 January until 7 February. Games will start at 9:00am and go to 2:00pm depending on number of games.
