Come join us next Monday and the 3 Mondays after Labor Day in September. No commitment to shooting every week, just an excuse to come shoot and eat. Water provided with the meal or BYOB for after you shoot.

This evening is the 3rd week of doubles league. If you're a sub junior ( junior high), junior (high school), or female, because there is no classing, you're still eligible to come and participate in the league but you'd need to get all 4 weeks in between this week and next. If you're an adult male and want to shoot, come on out and try your hand at some doubles or get some practice in outside of an ATA meet. Trap 3 will be open for anyone wanting to shoot singles trap or handicaps.

Fall league dates are set. 4 Mondays beginning August 31st, skipping the 7th, then the following 3 Mondays (14th, 21st, and 28th) of September. The fall league is shooters choice, $20/evening for 50 targets (singles, doubles, or handicap) and a meal. No awards and no commitment to shooting all evenings, just a good time. Additional targets are available at $15/50.

We should be ready to shoot both doubles and singles by 6 today. The AC is on in the cabin for before and after you shoot. Come on out, last evening to sign up for doubles league.

This upcoming Monday is the last day to register for doubles league. Come out and have some fun. Also the club will NOT be open the next three Wednesdays while doubles are going on on Mondays. Trap 3 will be available if anyone wants to come on Mondays to shoot singles trap.

Our medalists from cornhusker state games this year. Grant Juricek won the junior gold medal in bunker/Olympic trap. Addison Ridley (on the left) earned the women's 12 gauge silver and junior class bronze medals in s***t. Her sister and Blue River 4-H alumni, Brooklyn, earned the open class (all classes combined) gold medal, the high score tie being broken by doing a reverse end run. Her score of 97/100 also qualified her as the top non-NSSA gold medalist and the women's gold. Blue River continued to clean house in s***t as fellow Blue River alumni Skye Hoyer qualified for the open class 12 gauge sliver, also with 97/100 but second in the reverse end run. That score earned him the NSSA class gold. Skye also shot 97/100 in 20 gauge which earned him gold medals in open 20 gauge and the NSSA class. His combined 194/200 s***t score earned him the HOA gold medal in s***t. Skye also earned a silver in American trap handicaps from the 24 yard line the previous day and the adult bronze in bunker/Olympic trap later that afternoon.

Reminder that doubles league begins this upcoming Monday! 4 weeks, you can shoot a week ahead and a week behind so if you shoot 100 an evening you need only come twice. Registration will be both Monday the 20th and 27th, however for classing you would need to get 100 targets in on the 27th if you didn't register until the 2nd week.

A reminder that the county fair trap shoot is this evening. Registration opens at 5:30 at the Izaak Walton club in tuxedo park. Shooting begins at 6.
