SOHS Media is beyond excited to recognize one of our student-athletes today; Madison Young.

Last Monday, April 13th, Madison Young found out her jersey #22 will never be worn again. This marks the first time a jersey has ever been retired for our girls basketball program. This is a huge accomplishment, we see your hard work, leadership, and dedication has not gone unnoticed. Congratulations Madison!

GET TO KNOW MADISON YOUNG:

Madison was brought up to varsity during her 8th grade year and went on to complete an impressive five-year career at SOHS. She is now committed to play Division I basketball at Illinois State University.

Over the past five years, Madison has achieved:
5× 29th District All-Tournament Team (3× MVP)
4× All-Region Team
4× 8th Region Tournament Team
2× Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Selection
2026 8th Region Player of the Year
2026 8th Region KABC Player of the Year
Ranked 5th in the state
Miss. Basketball nominee

Madison has left a lasting legacy, setting the standard for future student-athletes and showing what true dedication, leadership, and hard work look like every single day.
