🌧️ COURSE CLOSURE UPDATE 🌧️

We started the day with no carts on the course due to all the rain we’ve been receiving. After watching the radar and looking at the forecast for the rest of the day, we’ve made the decision to close the course today.

We appreciate your understanding and hope Mother Nature gives us some sunny skies and beautiful golfing weather in the near future! ☀️⛳

Join us in Creston for a beautiful weekend!

🎈 One of southwest Iowa’s most colorful weekends is coming back to Creston!

The 48th Annual Southwest Iowa Hot Air Balloon Races take place September 17–20, 2026, with four days of ballooning activities around Creston.

The weekend includes multiple balloon flights, competition flights, tethered rides, a parade, live music and three different balloon glows.

If you’ve never watched dozens of balloons take to the Iowa sky, this might be a good excuse for a road trip.

What a pleasure it was to host this event for our local ICCAC team. All players played great and we can’t wait to host again next year. It was especially cool to see one one of our clubhouse staff members on the course. If you see the team out on the course make sure to wish them the best of luck.

We’re excited to announce two new events in coordination with the Southwest Iowa Balloon Races!

Event #1: The High Risers Tournament is a 9-hole event schedule for Friday (9/18) for Registered Balloonist teams, their host sponsors, and our top three tiers of sponsors (Skyline-$1K,High Flyers -$2.5K and Cloud Nine - $5K). This 4-Person Best Ball will have an 11:00 shotgun start and an entry fee of $30 per person.

Event #2: The Skyline 18-Hole Tournament will be on Saturday (9/19) with a shot-gun start at 1:00. This 2-Person Alternate Best Ball has a $200 per team entry fee with winnings being split 50/50 between the Southwest Iowa Balloon Races and the lowest scoring team.
