Lake Gregory Yacht Club Lake Gregory Yacht Club (LGYC): a social and community service organization. The LGYC is very involved in the Crestline and mountain communities.

This year we have launched 4 Lido 14s on Lake Gregory and are actively sailing once or twice a week. Lake Gregory Yacht Club (LGYC): a social and community service organization whose members enjoy a variety of club events and volunteer opportunities. The club was formed in 2004 by five Crestline residents and has grown over the years. In addition to volunteering at the many local organizations, we

raise money to contribute directly to several organizations annually. We have members that are blue water sailors, model yachtsmen and power boaters. We do encourage the sailing of radio control sailboats on Lake Gregory although it is not required, However, if you have an interest, anyone joining us will find someone who is on their skill level or willing to train you at the Lake Gregory Model Boat area that is located near the south parking lot. The club has an active social calendar with local events held nearly every month in addition to occasional weekend excursions. Business meetings are held quarterly. Organizational Memberships:

Lake Gregory Yacht Club is an Associate Member of the Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA), the Crestline Chamber of Commerce, the International Order of the Blue Gavel (IOBG), and many members belong to the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA). The LGYC supports the efforts of the Recreational Boaters of California (RBOC).

They’re looking for tiny changes in the surface that reveal wind shifts. Eventually, a sailor can look at a lake and say, “The wind is filling in over there,” while everyone else sees… water.

🔧⛵ Behind the Scenes at Lake Gregory Yacht Club! 🔴

While the sailing may look effortless out on the lake, there’s a whole lot of work that happens behind the scenes! Several of our members have been hard at work fixing, repairing, and getting our newest boat ready for the water.

And tomorrow, the newest member of the fleet makes its debut! 🎉

❤️ Our FOURTH boat is red and ready to hit Lake Gregory!

⛵ Friday on the Lake! 🌊

Three boats, a beautiful afternoon, and plenty of reasons to smile!

Our Lido 14s were out on Lake Gregory today, catching a little breeze, getting in some sailing time, and enjoying what summer in Crestline is all about. There’s just something about being out on the water that makes a Friday even better. 😊

We’re building a fun little sailing community here at Lake Gregory Yacht Club—one sail, one laugh, and one good day on the water at a time.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made today another great day at the lake!

Port, starboard, bow, stern, tack, gybe, luff, leech, telltales… sailing has an entire vocabulary. And once you learn it, you start sounding like you’ve been sailing forever!

Our Lido 14s are on the water, our sailors are having a blast, and our little sailing club is growing!

What we love most isn’t just the racing—it’s the people, the camaraderie, the beautiful days on the lake, and the chance to introduce more locals to the joy of sailing.

Today we had 22 members on the water, with Lido 14s sailing and Duffy boats cruising—and lots of laughter and good times along the way. ⛵️🌊☀️

No big agenda. Just friends, boats, sunshine, and a beautiful day on the lake.

Our club is all about sailing, good times, and great people. We sail our Lido 14s, enjoy the camaraderie of our sailing community, and even have DF95 radio-controlled sailing for those who like their boats a little smaller—but their competition just as fun! 😄
