I know I have fallen off the wagon a bit with posting on IG but we are always doing our thing in .fitness and hitting the trails whenever our busy schedules permit. This is, no doubt, the best part about living here, right?!?

I never used to push myself…I used to always try to stay comfortable and take the route where I felt confident and knew what to expect. 🫣

This year I set a goal…a goal to run the 4 pass loop, which is a famous trek in our area between Crested Butte, Aspen and Snowmass, CO.

I was fortunate to have amazing friends who were interested in joining me!

These ladies are some badass mommas and I am so thankful for them!! 🙌🏽

Here’s how things have progressed since spring…😉

Aprils goal was to start running and to get my butt up to 5 miles…. ✅

May was to plan some longer runs for summer with girlfriends… ✅

June was to get up to running 10 miles…. ✅

July was to run 11mls over to the conundrum hot springs, soak in the spring, and then run 11 back… 22mile run ✅

August was GO time for the 4 pass loop! 🏃‍♀️☺️🙌🏽

Oh right, the then there’s the weather…we’ve had a lot more rain than normal summers and you cannot risk being above the tree line when there are thunderstorms….it’s super dangerous and weather in the mountains is not to be messed with.

One reschedule run date was required… ✅

Amazingly enough we got our weather opening and WE DID IT!!

The “adventure run” (as I like to call it) is 30 miles in a day!.

It’s A total vertical gain of 8,700 feet in one day. 💪🏼

I had my moments of exhaustion and discomforts, but my body and mind supported me for the adventure, and I am so grateful. 👏🏼

My heart is so happy - it feels amazing to have pushed myself to these limits!

To sum this up, we are all capable of so much more than we realize. That’s why holding ourselves back from what we want is not an acceptable solution to living a fulfilled and happy life! 🥰

With that said, GO FOR IT. Set that big goal for yourself. Bet on yourself. Do it for YOU. You will be SO HAPPY that you tried. ❤️
