Work day this Sunday, February 15th, from 1-4PM. Meet at the entrance to the campground at Vernon Springs Park! Anyone interested is welcome to join. We will be clearing new paths and removing invasive buckthorn

Incredible work day! Thanks to all who came out and helped. We now have a half mile of usable trail. Come on down and check it out, whether walking, running, or biking! The trail starts just east of the gate on the south side of the campground road and heads east towards the north bound bend of the Prairie Springs Trail.

Work day this Saturday (11/22) from 9AM to Noon. Meet at the gate at the bottom of the road that leads up to the campground at Vernon Springs park. All are welcome! Even if you can’t stay the whole time, come out and check it out!

Thanks to anyone checking out this page! We’re a group of Cresco area outdoor enthusiasts who are working with Howard County Conservation to expand the off road trail network at Vernon Springs Park. These trails will be available year round for walking or biking. Our goal is to continue to develop the park as an outdoor recreation destination!

Anyone interested in joining feel free to message! We’ll use this page to update construction progress, group meetings, fundraising events, and trail conditions.
