Our new season of Esports starts today. We will be playing Valorant every Thursday at 4pm besides rescheduled events like today. We rescheduled week 1 match to today since students were at New York for the band/choir trip and Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Week 1 will be today against Clarke at 4pm on our YouTube channel
Week 2 game will be tomorrow at 4pm vs Hampton-Dumont-Cal.

Valorant is a team-based, objective-oriented game where one team attempts to plant a device called the "Spike" while the other attempts to prevent it or defuse it.

Games are won by being the first team to win 13 rounds.
Matches are won by being the first team to win two games.

The new year has been good to us. This week we started off winning on Tuesday playing Varsity Overwatch2 against Forest City 3 to 0. Thursday our Varsity Rocket League team faced off against North Polk winning that match up 3 to 1. Our Junior Varsity Overwatch squad won by forfeit against Dallas Center-Grimes

The winter season was supposed to begin last week, but Mother Nature decided to get the Win instead. . We have a very busy week ahead of us before the winter break. Our week starts with a Varsity Overwatch 2 match against Belmond-Klemme on Monday, December 15th, at around 3:30. Junior Varsity will also have a rescheduled match against Central Lee tomorrow, starting at 4pm. Varsity Rocket League will have their makeup game against Iowa Valley on Tuesday at 3:45.

Week 2 matches will start on Tuesday with Varsity Overwatch facing Iowa Falls Alden at 4pm. On Thursday, Varsity Rocket League will compete against Tri-Center at 3:45. For the people waiting on state championship t shirts, here is the Ohenry shop to order. Sorry for the delay it was out of our control. Unfortunately these have to be a quick turn around so we can get them in by the time school is out for the summer. These orders are due by Monday April 28th.

Also on Monday there will be a player meeting in Mr. Kessel's room at 3:30 about next year. This meeting is open to any 8th grader to 11th grader planning on going out for Esports at all next year.
