And it doesn’t mean hands-on work or rehab exercises don’t help.

Here is something about chronic pain I wish I knew sooner.

If you are dealing with chronic pain, I hope you know you are not broken and there are things you can do to get better, strong and more resilient.

Exercise as stress?

It’s true, but it’s a controlled stressor with incredible benefits when managed correctly.

Think structured training + focused recovery = stronger, healthier you.

However, let’s not ignore the other stressors. Chronic stress from work, poor sleep, or inadequate nutrition can sabotage your progress and add more stress to your body.

I do think “Overtraining” might be more about “under-recovering,” than anything else. However, it is possible to take things too far if we do training programs our bodies are not prepared for.

I believe the real key to see results with training is to follow a structured program that considers you and your lifestyle factors to make sure it empowers you, keeps you out of injury and keeps you consistent.

The only thing needed to change is action. However, don’t get me wrong… it doesn’t mean go from 0-100 in one day…

Small changes can yield great results! Even a 10% change in the desired direction can yield positive outcomes!

Action can look many ways such as seeking for help, learning about a topic or choosing to hit a 3000 step goal per day.

I promise you, motivation will follow action.
