Just about a month away from the draw deadline and we are ready for the 2026 season! The draw deadline is April 7th and we have a bunch of openings for archery and the rifle draw seasons still available. This year we also have some openings for some bear hunts with an OTC tag call for pricing. We’ve posted all our draw statistics on a previous post check out our profile for more. The draw opens the first week of March and is coming up fast! We still have openings for archery and some rifle openings for the draw season.

On the draw seasons here is the amount of points required:

Elk:
Archery unit 53 0 points

Muzzleloader unit 53 0 points

1st rifle unit 53 1 point, unit 63 0 points

4th rifle unit 53 0 points, unit 63 1 point

Deer
Archery unit 53 4 points

Muzzleloader unit 53 4 points

1st rifle unit 53 ? Points new season added last year

2nd rifle unit 53 8 points, unit 63 3 points

3rd rifle unit 53 20 points, unit 63 7 points

4th rifle unit 53 29 points, unit 63 24 points

These point requirements aren’t exact but they are the average point totals of the previous years draw.

Hopefully this information was helpful as you put in for the draw and we are excited for the 2026 season! We would love to see some more mule deer hunters as well!

We also offer summertime tours! We will take you back into our wilderness camp for a wild high country tour on horseback and show you some of the beautiful spots we are lucky enough to hunt. Our archery season ended well this year and we hope everyone who came out had a great hunt! We had a great hunt for week 1 of our archery season! Our hunters were in the elk all week and had a great time.Although we came up empty handed we had a lot of good elk movement. Thank you to all the hunters who came out this week! We are looking forward to week 2!

Elk basin outfitters is just 3 days out from season and we checked our cameras one last time before the action starts!
